This is a “hands on” position that primarily requires assembly, delivery and installation of office furniture.
Read and interpret architectural blueprints and furniture floor prints
Provide hands-on involvement in the installation process to assure accuracy and quality of furniture assembly and installation
Support Warehouse personnel loading product and inventorying as needed
Attend and conduct any project-related meetings on an as needed basis
Load/offload product for incoming or outgoing deliveries
Confirm outgoing product per check lists, policies and procedures and report back to Warehouse and/or project manager
Inventory product returning to warehouse and complete all appropriate paperwork with the return of any extra materials
Keeps management informed of anticipated delays and any additional information needed to increase customer satisfaction and improve profitability
Follow all safety procedures as designated by project manager and/or warehouse manager

A high-school diploma or equivalent
Have the ability to listen and communicate in an effective, helpful and friendly manner with co-workers, customers and management
Excellent customer service skills, conducting customer contact in a professional and courteous manner
Ability to read and speak the English language sufficient to converse with the general public
Basic knowledge of carpentry and experience with hand and electrical tools to assemble furniture
Knowledge of the operations of warehouse material handling equipment (i.e. forklift, pallet jack)
Good organizational and project management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong creative problem solving skills
Ability to work independently and within teams
Ability to work in constantly changing environments and maintain flexibility
Ability to work effectively in high stress situations
Reasoning ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations with limited standardized procedures. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished with written, oral, diagram or schedule form
The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, talk, sit, hear, use hands and fingers, handle, feel and/or lift with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to lift 50 pounds.
